Construction Project Engineer - Multifamily / Commercial

Project Engineers will assist Project Managers and Project Superintendents in project planning, buyout, project management, and closeout. This role will involve assisting in obtaining, coordinating and distributing the information and authorizations required to construct the project on time and within budget. 


  • Setup and maintain field office supply inventory
  • Assist with soliciting bidders and the coordination of buyout activities
  • Enter subcontractor and vendor personnel in the directory
  • Ensure that initial plans and specifications are issued to subcontractors and suppliers
  • Request and review subcontractor certificates for compliance
  • Identify potential constructability issues and potential code violations with the construction drawings and specifications
  • Maintain all document controls for the project
  • Assist in ensuring contractor compliance with safety and quality management programs
  • Assist with communicating the schedule with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Assist with creating, review, processing and maintaining all submittals and submittal log
  • Assist with the coordination of submittals, RFI’s, deliveries and inspections, along with analyzing how they affect the project schedule
  • Ensure that materials and equipment are released for fabrication in time for their delivery as required on the job-site
  • Assist with change requests, change proposals for price reviews
  • Assist in managing the project budget
  • Schedule and assist in drafting agendas for coordination meetings, Owner/Architect/Contractor meetings and all other meetings as directed by the Project Manager or Superintendent
  • Prepare and distribute meeting minutes
  • Provide weekly project updates.
  • Assist with documentation and taking progress photos of job site
  • Assist to resolve all punch-list issues prior to occupancy
  • Assist with obtaining occupancy of the project, including participating in the final inspections and approvals by various municipalities
  • Maintain closeout log and obtain all closeout documents, warranties and log information
  • Perform any other duties required for closeout.
  • Confirm the transfer of utilities and insurances are completed at closeout
  • Maintain the highest possible professionalism at all times and promote good relations and communications on the project
  • Recognize, report, and solve problems in a creative, positive, constructive way and make recommendations for improvements in systems, procedures, and policies


  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or other related construction science discipline
  • Software: Microsoft Project scheduling software, Procore.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet project deadlines. 
  • Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail. 
  • Positive and collaborative attitude with strong interpersonal and leadership skills. 
  • Critical thinker and self-starter capable of accomplishing a task with limited guidance and supervision.
