Job Title: Senior Concrete Estimator

Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 (depending on experience)

Company Overview:
A national concrete subcontractor is seeking a highly skilled Senior Concrete Estimator to join their team in Tampa, Florida. The successful candidate will apply their knowledge of specialized techniques, processes, and methodologies to prepare accurate time, cost, and labor estimates for construction projects. This role involves interfacing with clients to address obstacles that may affect the awarding of contracts.

Responsibilities:

1. Total Cost Determination: Calculate the total cost of materials, equipment, utilities, and labor for construction projects.
2. Change Estimate: Provide cost estimates on changes during construction.
3. Proposal Generation: Generate pricing, proposals, and bids for construction projects.
4. Quality Survey/Take-Off: Complete Quality Survey/Take-Off by identifying and quantifying all necessary concrete scope items.
5. Project Goal Alignment: Prepare estimates to meet project goals, including setting work hours, obtaining materials, sequencing tasks, and securing deals with vendors and subcontractors.
6. Project Coordination: Provide coordination throughout the duration of projects, covering scope, change orders, field coordination, progress billing, and project close-out tasks.
7. Post Bid Activities: Complete post-bid activities to ensure a smooth transition to project execution.

Requirements:

1. Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Accounting, or a related discipline, and 3 years of related experience OR equivalent education and working experience.
2. Estimating Experience: A minimum of 5 years of estimating successful large commercial self-perform concrete projects.
3. Concrete Construction Knowledge: Possess knowledge and field experience associated with cast-in-place concrete construction, concrete footings, and foundations.
4. Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with contractors, suppliers, purchasing, sales, and other stakeholders.
5. Technical Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret technical and legal documents.
6. Structural Products Knowledge: Knowledge of related structural products, including joists, decks, stairs, rails, anchor rods, etc.
7. Scope of Work Assembly: Ability to assemble the scope of work with required information, including inclusions, exclusions, and qualifications.
8. Construction Terminology: Knowledge of terminology customarily used in construction and familiarity with computer and estimating software packages.
9. Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft software applications, including Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience using B2W software is a plus.
