Senior Estimator to join their dynamic team.
Job Overview:
The Senior Estimator will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase, responsible
for accurately estimating the costs associated with asphalt paving and site
development projects. The primary responsibility of this position is to produce accurate
and competitive job estimates for single and multi-phase site development projects, and
to manage those projects to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Analysis:
● Identify projects to bid within the company's core markets.
● Analyze and interpret contract documents, including engineering plans,
specifications, and geotechnical reports.
● Perform quantity take-off analysis.
● Solicit and analyze supplier and subcontractor proposals.
Cost Estimation:
● Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates.
● Perform risk assessment analysis.
● Develop standardized estimating systems and databases.
Project Management:
● Prepare project schedules.
● Manage projects from estimation to completion.
● Work in a team environment, assisting and training other estimators.
Client Interaction:
● Interface with clients.

● Complete assignments with a relatively higher degree of scope and
complexity, such as complex specifications, special requirements, and
difficult existing conditions.
Team Management:
● Plan, manage, and evaluate the work of Estimators and Estimator
Associates.
Documentation:
● Maintain accurate and organized records of project estimates, bids, and
related documentation.
● Provide timely and detailed reports to management on estimating
activities and outcomes.

Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 8 years of construction
estimating experience.
● Proven experience as a Senior Estimator in the asphalt paving and site
development industry.
● Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes.
● Proficient in estimating software and tools.
● Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
● Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
● Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
