Qualified Candidate Must Possess:
  • Demonstrate and model client's core values
  • Ensure adherence to corporate and OSHA safety protocols at the worksite, holding primary accountability for safety compliance on-site.
  • Introduce proactive pre-task safety strategizing for every work assignment.
  • Coordinate shutdowns and tie-ins effectively. Conduct weekly toolbox talks with trade personnel

Quality Assurance/Quality Control:

  • Monitor and engage with contractors or trades to assess work performance and productivity.
  • Uphold adherence to the project schedule.
  • Maintain project rules and procedures.
  • Ensure contractors fulfill their responsibilities and scope of work.
  • Supervise the creation and resolution of punch list items.
  • Aid in commissioning activities as needed.
  • Confirm installation of approved products onsite.

Planning:

  • Ensure trade coordination and compliance with local regulations.
  • Coordinate Mechanical/Electrical overhead aspects.
  • Supervise and sequence contractors' activities to reduce interference.
  • Develop comprehensive site logistics plans to enhance productivity and minimize disruption to occupants.
  • Establish and maintain project schedules, including updates and modifications.
  • Provide guidance to interns, project engineers, and assistant superintendents.
  • Conduct weekly subcontractor coordination meetings.
  • Conduct constructability reviews to assess document completeness and buildability.
  • Assist in jobsite setup and coordinate submissions to city and state agencies for inspections leading to Certificate of Occupancy.
  • Attend weekly team and Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings.

Document Control:

  • Organize documentation using electronic filing systems.
  • Assist engineers in managing Requests for Information (RFIs) and resolving issues across multiple trades.
  • Monitor contractor documents to ensure alignment with the latest revisions.
  • Coordinate project changes with trades and contractors.
  • Review submittals and shop drawings, ensuring alignment with construction documents and field requirements.
  • Prepare detailed daily reports and review subcontractors' reports for coordination issues and claim avoidance.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating the record set of documents.
  • Maintain material/submittal logs to ensure timely submissions and completion of document reviews.

Cost Management:

  • Support overall budget management by controlling costs and monitoring potential changes.
  • Assist in managing the general conditions budget.
  • Identify changes to the purchased scope by contractors.
  • Review contractor quotations for proposed changes.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ year’s construction experience
  • 2+ years as seasoned traveler
  • Project experience with interior renovations, ground-up, established malls and new mall environments, renovation work in occupied and unoccupied environments, urban and suburban work locations

RECOMMENDED TRAINING / CERTIFICATIONS:

  • OSHA 30 hour
  • CPR / First Aid / AED Training
  • Lead / Asbestos Awareness
  • LEED Accreditation
