• Develop estimates for a variety of projects including bridges, highways, railways, airports, dams, tunnels, and transit projects.
• Read, analyze, interpret, and gain a comprehensive understanding of contract proposals, drawings, and specifications.
• Conduct quantity take-offs for both unit price and lump sum project bidding schedules, either independently or by directing others, and summarize them in an Excel spreadsheet format.
• Analyze different scopes of work and generate detailed unit price estimates, incorporating production crews, specific equipment, and materials into project cost software programs. Tutor Perini Corp currently uses HCSS as its project cost estimating program.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from an accredited institution, along with 10+ years of relevant estimating and project management experience.
• 5 or more years of experience in estimating for heavy civil projects.
• Previous experience in estimating projects exceeding $100 million in value.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage and collaborate with project owner representatives, material suppliers, and subcontractors during pre-bid estimate preparations and post-bid negotiations.
• Ability to work harmoniously within a cohesive Heavy Civil estimating team to develop comprehensive cost proposals and participate in joint venture team reviews for major projects when necessary.
• Preferred previous experience in alternative delivery methods such as design/build and CMAR.

The salary range for this position is between $150,000 and $200,000, depending on experience.
