Our client is seeking a motivated Estimator specializing in Heavy Civil, Roads & Bridges to join our esteemed team. As part of our dynamic organization and reporting directly to the VP of Estimating, you will play a pivotal role in various aspects of estimating, providing valuable insights and contributing to the success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Calculate various statistical data, including quantity take-offs, material price lists, labor costs per person-hour, and equipment.
• Research historical data such as purchase orders, subcontracts, and productivity analysis reports to compile summary reports and develop guidelines for future estimates.
• Collaborate in the development of project update and bid package estimate documents.
• Maintain organized files of working documents to serve as backups for estimating figures.
• Assist in monitoring conceptual estimates with actual cost data.
• Undertake additional assignments as directed by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field from an accredited institution preferred. Alternatively, 5+ years of previous construction estimating, engineering, or similar experience required.
• Knowledge of construction materials and recognition of material designations such as W section and HP section.
• General understanding of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills with an ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Proficient in Bluebeam and MS Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated consistency in dependability, diligence, and thoroughness.
• Solution-oriented problem solver.
