Company Overview:
Our client is a leading construction firm specializing in hospitality and commercial projects. Currently, they are embarking on an ambitious venture in Cocoa Beach, FL, involving the construction of a cast-in-place post tension 500+ room hotel, a steel-frame Convention Center, a wave pool, and a precast parking garage on a 15-acre site. To spearhead this endeavor, we are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager who excels in leadership, team management, and has a proven track record in delivering projects of similar complexity and scale.

Position Overview:
As the Senior Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project from inception to completion. This includes managing a 10-person project team, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, quality standards, and safety regulations. Reporting directly to the project executive, you will play a pivotal role in driving the project forward, leveraging your expertise in hospitality construction to deliver a world-class hotel and convention center complex.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ●  Lead and manage a 10-person project team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship as needed.

  • ●  Develop and execute project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of the project.

  • ●  Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure project specifications are met.

  • ●  Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout the construction process.

  • ●  Oversee procurement, subcontractor selection, and contract negotiations to optimize project resources and minimize risks.

  • ●  Provide regular progress reports to senior management, highlighting milestones, challenges, and recommended actions.

  • ●  Foster a culture of teamwork, innovation, and excellence within the project team, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement.

  • ●  Serve as the primary point of contact for client communication, addressing inquiries, concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • ●  Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.

  • ●  Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management, with a

    focus on hospitality and commercial projects. Hospitality experience is required.

  • ●  Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects,

    preferably hotels and convention centers.

  • ●  Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and

    inspire cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

  • ●  Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

  • ●  Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite PROCORE

  • ●  Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED) are a plus.

    Additional Information: PROCORE

  • ●  This is a full-time permanent position with a competitive salary of up to $175,000, commensurate with experience.

  • ●  The initial project duration is approximately 29 months, with opportunities for continued employment on future projects.

  • ●  Interviews will commence no later than May 15th, 2024.

  • ●  Local candidates from the Tampa, Orlando, West Palm Beach, and Miami areas

    are preferred.

  • ●  Preference will be given to candidates who can be based locally.
