Project Manager - Residential

Merced, CA

Job Description: As a Residential Project Manager, you will oversee and coordinate residential construction projects from inception to completion. You will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients. Provide regular updates on project progress, address any concerns, and manage client expectations.
  • Team Coordination: Lead and manage project teams, including subcontractors and suppliers. Ensure that all team members are aligned with project goals and deadlines.
  • Quality Control: Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and project specifications. Conduct regular site inspections and address any issues promptly.
  • Budget Management: Track project expenses and manage budgets to prevent cost overruns. Prepare and review financial reports and invoices.
  • Problem Solving: Identify potential issues or risks and develop effective solutions. Address any challenges that arise during the construction process.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in residential construction project management. Experience with modular construction is a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
    • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or other relevant certifications are desirable but not required.
