Superintendent - Commercial

Position Summary:
The Commercial Superintendent will oversee all aspects of commercial construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires strong leadership, effective communication skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead and manage all phases of commercial construction projects, including planning, execution, and closeout.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor on-site staff, subcontractors, and laborers, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
  • Budget Oversight: Monitor project budgets, manage expenditures, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all phases.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, facilitating effective communication and problem resolution.
  • Site Safety: Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, logs, and schedules.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction, with a proven track record as a Superintendent.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
    • Proficient in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Certifications: OSHA certification and relevant industry certifications are a plus.
  • Location: Must be able to work on-site in Merced, CA.
